There is a void in the current popular music landscape.

The answer: Prin-sess

Bridging the gap between East Coast and West Coast rap, bridging the gap between rap and alternative and bridging the gap between sexuality and intellectualism, her sound is a perfect marriage of intoxicating ethereal hip-hop and controversial thought provoking lyrics.

A native of California, Prin-sess first entered the scene as a free-style rapper in the northern and southern California club circuit and even though she had no releases she became known to West Coast rap cliques as well as East Coast groups on tour in the West. At this time, she began performing with such noted rap groups as the Roots, Master Ace, Common Sense, Nine and Digable Planets which led her to tour the United State and Europe in 1996 with East Coast rapper Nine, as a back up rapper, dancer and choreographer. This was a successful tour, which also featured Patra and Lord of the Underground.

Because of her undeniable good looks and her overt sexuality she began showing up in music videos as a dancer and actress. These include:

ARTIST
VIDEOS
  • Nine
  • Wu-Tang
  • Donnell Jones
  • Case f /Foxy Brown
  • "Over Confident"
  • "Ice Cream"
  • "Ordinary Day"
  • "Touch Me"

In addition to being a performer, Prin-sess is also an accomplished lyricist ans song writer. Her gift for melody and her experience as a guitarist make her well rounded musically. She has recently collaborated with California producer D'man. Together they have put together an album guaranteed to open your ears to the next wave of sound that will take over radio. Roll out the Kente cloth, Royalty is hear!

Let Prin-sess reign....
